Echinocactus grusonii - Golden barrel cactus, it is rare and endangered in the wild. Also known as Golden ball or Mother-in-law's cushion. Echinocactus grusonii may eventually reach over 1 metre (3.3 ft) in height after many years.

Two years later and this plant is about the same size...not sure how long it takes to start growing.
