Used tea bags can help your garden

So we are in COVID19 lockdown and cannot go to the local garden centre to buy compost and many other gardening essentials. Time for some DIY. Make use of used tea bags as well as your ground coffee dregs. Coffee grounds add nitrogen to your compost. The benefit of using coffee grounds as a fertilizer is that it adds organic material to the soil, which improves drainage, water retention and aeration in the soil. Don't throw away your tea bags. Tea leaves are a great source of organic material for gardens. The actual bags are mostly biodegradable. Used tea-bags are your friends and are waiting to help your garden plants. Roses love tea leaves so help them at no extra cost with sprinkled tea leaves. There are a multitude of kitchen leftovers which will aid your garden. Adding eggshells to compost will help add calcium to your compost.
